There is no on-site parking at the cottage as it is located on a private footpath that is accessed from Lower Broad Street.

Guests staying at The Vineyard are therefore provided with a free parking facility for one vehicle, that utilises the pay and display parking bays to be found outside The Vineyard in Lower Broad Street, and elsewhere in the town centre.

The free parking facility requires that the guest vehicle registration number is logged onto the Council’s digital parking system prior to arrival. The owners therefore request the registration number from the guest/s during the week beforehand, and provide text or email confirmation when the free parking facility has been registered.

Guests requiring additional parking spaces are generally recommended to use the nearest public car park (Smithfield) at Lower Galdeford, for which a short-cut walking route to/from the cottage and car park (takes approx. 6-7 minutes) can be provided.
The walk to and from the car park is generally quite level.
